Four characters of the mind drive a student named Aurora through her school day, motivating and sabotaging her by turns. It teaches students to retrain the voices rather than obey them.
What happens in the hall
Aurora is a teenager getting through an ordinary school day. What the audience can see and she cannot is that four characters are running her: the Motivator, the Critic, the Procrastinator and the Child.
They argue with each other in front of the year level. They get her out of bed and then talk her out of the thing she said she would do. They talk her into a decision she would not have made alone.
By the end students can name which of the four is loudest in their own head, which is the point. You cannot retrain a voice you have not noticed.
Then the workshop
The performance opens the conversation and the Self-Talk workshop is where students do the work. It runs straight after, in the same slot, and it is included in the booking rather than quoted separately.
One year level, in your hall
Performed to a full cohort, up to about two hundred students. Show and workshop run back to back and fit a normal timetable slot, roughly an hour all up, and we work to your bell times rather than ours.
